I joined Ladder back in November of 2015 as their first serious design hire, with the goal of building on the foundations of their brand identity. I was also in charge of managing all external creative tasks - everything from landing pages, to email campaigns, to social media assets, and beyond.
As the first in-house designer Ladder has, it was my job to start setting up frameworks for creative processes internally and externally.
Within the first few months of working with Ladder, I was already getting elbow-deep in projects like designing out screens for our upcoming SaaS product, the Ladder Planner. This involved working with another senior designer with matching color schemes, and also providing working PSD files for our CTO to then implement.
It was also up to me to begin managing creative operations as a whole. Using taskboards like Asana, I was promoted to Design director and started to delegate tasks out on a global scale, between our US office and our UK office with another designer. With this, combined with our in-house front end developer and freelancers as needed, our design team began to flesh out into a well-oiled machine.
As I continue working with Ladder, the design process has been continually evolving to fit the needs of more and more clients on a monthly basis. Below are a few showcases of our creative wins over time, in both the social media realm, landing pages, and our own internal branding efforts. The work you see has been developed and owned by me over the course of the last two years, and more will be added as time goes on!
