During my stint as a Design Director at Ladder, I was able to work with a wide range of clients and help them boost their ROI. When I reached out to Getaway, their company was reminiscent of a few clients I had worked with in the vacation/ "escape the city" realm. I've always loved working with brands like these because of their unique selling point and the value behind getting away from the mundane and back into the subliminal environment of nature. This challenge also made me feel right at home - I'm always a fan of designing email templates that are made to convert - and being able to flex some print design work is also a plus!
The Getaway challenge was pretty straightforward in nature for me. While the email side of things came pretty second nature, the print design for their "anti-sign" provisions list took a little more rumination to get to the point of my results. Nonetheless, I feel as though I've become comfortable enough in Getaway's brand design and visual language to produce two deliverables that fit in with their current aesthetic. I'm looking forward to seeing where this opportunity takes me!
